What all do i need to open my 24 feet by 4 feet pool, chemicals etc.?

I want to open my pool. it is 24 by 4. what kind of chemicals should i use to clear it up?

I've been doing this for years! If you need to empty the pool, use some mild detergent to scrub the liner. Hopefully, you covered the pool so you won't have to empty it. Cautioh – try not to let the dirty water from the top of the pool cover get into the pool. If you go to a pool supply store they will try to sell you a lot of 'opening' chemicals. I just use liquid chlorine from the pool supply store. It comes in 5 gal containers and costs qaabout $15. I use that all season. for opening, use about half a container but don't let anyone in for at least a day or so.

The first thing I would do is take a water sample to a reputable pool supply store. they will test it for free and tell you what you need to clear up the water and make it safe for swimming. After that, take a sample in every week or every other week and get their advice. After a few weeks you'll learn about how much chemical your pool needs.
